Direct Support Professional

GENERAL JOB DUTIES
A direct support professional assists clients served to lead a self-directed life and contribute to the community, assists with activities of daily living if needed, and encourages attitudes and behaviors that enhance community inclusion. The DSP Lead Worker will also be responsible for ensuring work flow continues as directed by supervisor in the absence of management staff and must report any non-compliance issues to the supervisor.
ADDITIONAL JOB DUTIES
- Maintain a safe, clean work environment; free from harm or danger to self and others.
- Stay up-to-date on required training.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of High School diploma or equivalent.
- Pass the T.A.B.E. (Test for Adult Basic Education) test upon hire.
- Minimum 18 years of age.
- Must have an Illinois driver's license and an acceptable driving record and insurance in accordance with agency policy.
