Job Description: The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for managing all aspects of payroll processing. This role requires a strong understanding of payroll systems, tax regulations, and compliance standards. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of handling confidential information with integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Process weekly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and government regulations.
  • Maintain and update employee payroll records, including deductions, benefits, and direct deposits.
  • Calculate and process employee hours, overtime, and bonuses.
  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of payroll taxes and other deductions.
  • Handle payroll discrepancies and respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues.
  • Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management.
  • Stay current with changes in payroll laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with the HR department to ensure accurate employee data and benefits administration.
  • Work closely with our CPA and CFA Finance Controller.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processes, tax regulations, and compliance standards.
  • Proficiency in payroll software (Paylocity, QuickBooks) and MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
