Who We Are:

Red Basil is a full-service Thai restaurant in West Jordan, Utah. We serve the families of our local community while providing “surreal” and “delicious” inspiration with kindness and convenience in ordering. While we do not deliberately seek to be “the best” Thai restaurant for families in the United States, we currently do hold that status. We also do our best to take care of all our employees.

Summary:

We are looking for long-term team-player full-time line cooks who can work in a fast-paced environment.

About the job:

  • Cooks orders on the line, portions, garnishes, slices, and fries
  • Helps the dishwasher when needed
  • Pre-prepare foods for fast through-put
  • May be asked to assist management and the team with projects
  • Abide by Utah Health Code
  • Follow established processes with careful consistent quality, never ever letting consistency slip
  • Help train new employees if necessary
  • Uphold high kitchen cleanliness standards

Requirements:

  • Able to legally work in the United States and at least 18 years old
  • A positive team player
  • Can do fast-paced repetitive work
  • Quickly learn to successfully implement the recipes with 100% accuracy
  • Is respectful in language, does not use profanity, respects the names of Deity, and respects others’ values
  • Works with integrity, dedication, responsibility, and high quality
  • Holds or can acquire a Food Handler Permit (assistance available if needed)
  • Can embrace constant productive change
  • Experience is great, but we also have an eye for aptitude, especially because line cook is required to cook according to Red Basil’s recipes every time
  • Language communication can be important in most jobs, but we value empathy most (needs to understand at least “one” of the following languages: English or Thai)
