We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring accurate financial operations. This role is crucial for supporting the company's financial health and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
Responsibilities- General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely recording of transactions.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Bank Reconciliations: Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure alignment between bank records and company financial records.
- Expense Reporting: Process and review employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Month-End Close: Assist in the month-end close process, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Audit Support: Provide support during internal and external audits, including preparing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Tax Compliance: Assist with tax filings and compliance, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local regulations.
- Ad-Hoc Analysis: Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as required by management.
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel; knowledge of ERP systems is a plus.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
