Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate the daily activities of fire alarm system installation projects.
  • Lead and mentor a team of technicians and installers, ensuring adherence to safety standards and operational protocols.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specifications to ensure proper installation of fire alarm systems.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to plan project execution and address any issues that arise during construction.
  • Conduct site inspections and system testing to verify the correct installation and functionality of fire alarm systems.
  • Manage inventory of tools, equipment, and materials necessary for project completion.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records of work performed, adhering to reporting requirements and compliance regulations.
  • Enforce strict compliance with all local, state, and federal guidelines and codes related to fire alarm and safety systems.

Qualifications:

  • NICET Level III certification preferred.
  • Proven experience as a foreman or lead technician in fire alarm systems installation, preferably with a minimum of 5 years in the field.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems and fire alarm technology.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to read, understand, and execute plans from blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing situations.
  • Effective communication skills, capable of conveying information to team members, management, and clients.
  • Commitment to maintaining safety and quality standards.
