We are currently seeking Developmental Therapy Associates to join our team

Creative Interventions Developmental Therapy Associate’s (DTA) main objective is to directly implement services to support areas of need. He/she will provide coaching to families in order to facilitate progress and goal mastery of those assigned to his/her caseload. The DTA provides services as a primary service provider, assisting families in strengthening their skills through parent coaching across developmental areas with supervision from licensed or certified providers.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Builds rapport and communicates effectively with clients and caregivers, acts as a liaison between families and the agency.

  • Demonstrates strict adherence to agency and Birth to Three procedures

  • Maintains cultural sensitivity across diverse clientele

  • Provides data and input for assessments and standardized evaluations across developmental domains to identify ongoing needs

  • In partnership with families, develops multidisciplinary strategies for a child’s IFSP to address routine activities.

  • Implements strategies and activities designed by licensed and professional providers.

  • Recommends environmental adaptations for children in their natural setting that are consistent with their needs, capabilities and family outcomes.

  • Assists team with transition of child out of Birth to Three.

  • Educates family and team members about the role of the DTA, coaches families and team members in implementing strategies and approaches into the family’s everyday routines in accordance with Birth to Three policy.

  • Recommends community resources to families related to family outcomes and child needs

  • Provides services as a Primary Service Provider within the Activity-Based Teaming (ABT) model of Birth to Three

  • Demonstrates creativity when developing individualized programs, demonstrates ability to take initiative, and understands when to collaborate with upper management.

  • Acts as a service coordinator for Birth to Three families, contacts and collaborates with outside providers such as BESB, school districts, DCF and/or other applicable providers.

  • As a Service Coordinator, meets all agency and state compliance requirements and deadlines.
