The sports and entertainment portfolio at COTA is unmatched in the country with Formula 1 US Grand Prix, NASCAR and MotoGP attracting global fans during championship races on the famed Circuit and Live Nation producing over 30 headline concerts every year at the Germania Insurance Amphitheater.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our cafe team at COTA. The successful candidate will be responsible for food preparation, onsite cooking, and maintaining cleanliness in our cafe kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform food prep work to ensure efficient cooking during service hours.
  • Manage inventory levels and communicate with management regarding supply needs.
  • Maintain high standards of quality control to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure cleanliness and sanitation standards are upheld in accordance with health regulations.
  • Cook orders promptly as they come in, while maintaining accuracy and consistency.
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and contribute to a cohesive team environment.
  • Adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks efficiently.
Requirements:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Basic culinary training and previous experience in a kitchen environment are preferred.
  • ServSafe certification is preferred but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently under pressure.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

  • Ability to stand, sit, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to squat, bend, twist, push, and pull.
  • Ability to stand/walk for extended periods during shifts.
  • The work environment is a basic indoor cafe kitchen setting with standard kitchen equipment.

Schedule:

The standard schedule for this position is Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, with occasional weekend shifts based on scheduled events.
