Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescription:
  1. Assist with meal preparation tasks, including chopping vegetables, preparing salads, and portioning food items, following standardized recipes and dietary guidelines.
  2. Set up dining areas, including tables, chairs, and tableware, in preparation for meal service, ensuring a clean and inviting atmosphere for residents and guests.
  3. Serve meals to patients, residents, and guests in a courteous and respectful manner, accommodating special dietary requirements and preferences as directed.
  4. Monitor food temperatures during meal service and follow established protocols for food safety and sanitation.
  5. Assist with dishwashing and kitchen cleanup duties, including washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment, and maintaining cleanliness in food preparation and storage areas.
  6. Assist dietary staff with inventory management, including stocking shelves, rotating food items, and checking expiration dates to ensure freshness and compliance with regulations.
  7. Provide support to dietary supervisors and chefs as needed, performing additional tasks such as preparing nourishments, delivering meal trays, and assisting with catering services.
  8. Adhere to dietary department policies and procedures, as well as regulatory guidelines related to food handling, sanitation, and infection control.
Requirements:
  1. Prior experience as a Dietary Aide or food service worker in a healthcare setting preferred.
  2. Basic knowledge of food safety principles, sanitation practices, and dietary restrictions.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, residents, and staff members.
  4. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently.
  5. Physical stamina and dexterity to stand for extended periods, lift and carry food trays, and perform repetitive tasks.
  6. Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
  7. Compliance with background check and drug screening requirements, as applicable.
  8. Willingness to undergo training on dietary protocols, infection control, and safety procedures.
