Kelly is seeking a Sales Engineer to work with our Brooksville-based manufacturing client on a direct hire basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work for a family-owned company that has created innovate designs and high-quality products for over 50 years

The Sales Engineer will establish the cost estimate for new customer development projects and act as a liaison between the customer and the engineering team.

Specifically, the Sales Engineer will:

• Report to the Vice President of Sales and Marketing
  \t
• Facilitate initial customer communication and present New Business Opportunities to the Technical Team
  \t
• Review specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas, and related data to establish product design requirements and feasibility (design and manufacture)
  \t
• Maintain proactive and collaborative communication with the sales and engineering teams to ensure proper information transfer regarding technical requirements, including any/all design exceptions and DFM (Design for Manufacture) recommendations
  \t
• Collaborate with Engineering and Production Management to establish and document accurate project development costs and lead times for Non-Recurring Engineering Fees, Tooling (including Fixtures, Jigs and Gauges), Prototypes and Production
  \t
• Schedule and Lead Technical and Costing Reviews with the Technical Team as required
  \t
• Finalize all cost estimates prior to customer proposal
  \t
• Ensure the Sales Team has all the required information to submit timely customer proposal
  \t
• Establish customer rapport and build customer relationships through the development process
  \t
• Develop tools and processes to streamline cost estimating process to reduce proposal turn-around time
  

Qualifications:

• 
  \t
• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology preferred or 5+ years of costing BLDC/PMDC Electric Motors, machining, and/or fabricating experience required in lieu of a degree
  \t
• Minimum 3 years work experience in related industry required
  \t
• Previous Sales Engineer and Costing experience in BLDC/PMDC Electric Motors, Machining and or Metal Fabrication for Medical Devices, Industrial and Military/Aerospace products preferred
  \t
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and sales proposals
  \t
• Proven record of accomplishment
  \t
• Team player with innovative ideas and attention to detail
  \t
• Understanding of sales and costing techniques
