Department Summary
Surpassing network limitations of the past, our Wireless Deployment organization is building the country’s first cloud-native, standalone 5G wireless network. This is the foundation of a connected world flexible enough to satisfy all the social, economic and transformative needs of today and the future.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
In this role, you will be a part of our Device Engineering Team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional security experts to implement 5G security requirements
- Create documentation and lab implementation plans
- Execute lab security implementation
- Perform 5G proof-of-concept demonstrations in the lab
- Communicate progress and key findings to program and operational teams
- Build domain knowledge of DISH’s environment to proactively mitigate long-term risks with internal security organizations and vendors

Skills, Experience and Requirements
Education and Experience:
- BS or MS in STEM field (Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering)
- Bring to the role 8+ years of experience
- CISSP, GIAC, or equivalent cloud certification highly preferred
Skills and Qualifications:
- Knowledge in cyber security - security protective controls and threat landscape understanding
- Proficient in bash scripting, perl/python, JSON/XML
- Skilled in Linux network CLI tools, iptables, TLS, VPN, IPsec, K8S, etc.
- Knowledgeable in IAM, SSO, MFA, breach & attack simulations, penetration testing tools
- Familiar with tcpdump, wireshark, threat hunting, honey pots, intrusion detection tools
- Understanding of Zero Trust Architecture, MITRE ATT&CK framework
- Proficient in DDoS prevention and mitigation
- Fast learner, adept at managing multiple high-priority projects with excellent problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
Salary Ranges
Compensation: $110,100.00/Year - $165,000.00/Year

The base pay range provided is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level and competencies. Compensation is also based on the role's location and may change depending on the work location. Candidates must successfully complete a pre-employment screen, which may include a drug test and DMV check. The posting will be active for a minimum of 3 days and will continue to extend by 3 days until the position is filled.
