Length of assignment: 1 year, potential to extend

Location: onsite in Raritan NJ

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9A-5P

Compensation: $30-34/hr

Summary: The successful candidate will join a multi-disciplinary team of scientists and engineers involved in deploying spectroscopy-based sensors in lab-scale bioreactors. This is a lab-based role, executing on bioreactor experiments including offline supporting assays to assess bioreactor performance.

Responsibilities:

  • The candidate will be responsible for operating lab-scale bioreactors, including daily sampling activities, bioreactor assembly, and harvest of bioreactors.

  • The candidate will also be responsible for summarizing and auditing data as part of notebook protocols in several different data systems.


Requirements:


  • \t
  • 0-5yrs experience Required Techniques: Laboratory Scale (up to 5L) Cell Culture experience, spectroscopy such as Raman, FTIR or UV, microbiology (i.e. spread plating for microbial detection) coursework in analytical chemistry, biology, physical chemistry, and statistics
    \t
  • Familiarity with cell metabolism considered a plus.
    \t
  • Qualified candidates must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    \t
  • Written communications in the form of reports, Excel spreadsheets, and PowerPoint presentations is required.
    \t
  • Good verbal and written communication skills a must.
