As a Registered Nurse in Behavioral Health, your skills will be essential to Elara Caring’s mission. Here’s how you’ll contribute:
- Patient Assessments: Evaluate the physical, emotional, and environmental needs of patients and their families based on clinical records, team reports, and site visits.
- Caseload Management: Take primary responsibility for your caseload by assessing, planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating individualized care plans.
- Holistic Data Collection: Gather comprehensive information on physical, psychological, social, and spiritual factors to incorporate into the patient’s plan of care.
- Ongoing Evaluations: Conduct initial and follow-up assessments during each visit to meet the evolving needs of patients and their families.
- Communication: Report any significant findings, patient condition changes, or safety concerns to the Clinical Supervisor, physicians, or other relevant personnel.
- Care Plan Adjustments: Revise care plans as necessary, keeping the Clinical Supervisor, physician, and other team members informed.
- Family and Facility Support: Offer guidance and counseling to patients, families, and facility staff to align with the Interdisciplinary Plan of Care.
- Education & Support: Train facility staff on behavioral health principles, pain management, and symptom control in various care settings.
- Supervision: Oversee behavioral health aides and LPNs, ensuring quality care delivery in alignment with agency policies.
- Bereavement Support: Provide necessary support to patients and families during times of loss, conducting bereavement assessments as needed.
- Licensure: Current and unrestricted RN license in your state.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a clinical care setting; Home Health or Hospice experience is preferred.
- Dependable Transportation: Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance.
- Willingness to Travel: Ability to travel within the branch/office area, covering up to 50%.
- Educational Background: Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is preferred.
- Tech Skills: Familiarity with Homecare HomeBase is a plus.

Elara Caring carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Register Nurse- Behavioral Health position is $78,000.00 annually and the maximum salary for the Register Nurse- Behavioral Health is $110,000.00 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Opportunity for increased compensation working above quota. “Salary ranges reflect earning potential and may be inclusive of work performed beyond salary-based quota”.
