Job Description

As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for performing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data, decontaminating, updating patient information, and ensuring the integrity of specimens. Your tasks will include explaining the venipuncture process to patients, understanding physician orders, matching requisition forms to specimen tubes, and packaging specimens for transport. Additionally, you will comply with OSHA and DEP regulations, attend training sessions, answer phone calls, and provide laboratory results. You will work in a women's health pelvic surgery center, dealing with a medium volume of samples and processing them using a centrifuge.
