Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as school janitors in Incline Village. Janitors are responsible for maintaining cleanliness, safety, and functionality of school facilities during various shifts throughout the school year. This position plays a crucial role in supporting the school's environment for students, staff, and visitors.Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing assigned areas of the school.
  • Clean and disinfect restrooms and replenish supplies as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness of corridors, classrooms, offices, and common areas.
  • Empty trash and recycling bins and ensure proper disposal of waste.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
  • Report any maintenance issues, hazards, or security concerns to appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with setup and cleanup for school events and activities.
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe environment for all.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous janitorial or custodial experience preferred.
  • Must be able to pass a FBI fingerprinting background check 
  • Knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks.
  • Good communication skills and ability to interact professionally with staff and students.
Work Schedule:
  • Positions may be assigned to early morning, morning, afternoon, evening, or night shifts during the school year.
  • Specific shift assignments will be communicated based on operational needs.
  • Flexible availability to work occasional weekends or overtime may be required.
