If you are excited and energized by the prospect of joining an integral part of a field-oriented team, actively engaging in projects that bolster the well-being of local communities, SME may be the right fit for you. Depending on the project, your position could include a variety of work activities with opportunities ranging from daily travel between local jobsites, to assessing lighting or sign structures on the highway across the state, or occasional options to travel to perform evaluations at manufacturing facilities in other states.
Responsibilities:
- Perform bolted and welded structural connection reviews on building constructions sites, fabrication shop inspections, and additional specialty review and non-destructive testing.
- Steel testing as needed in our Materials Laboratory, including testing of welder performance and procedure qualifications, high strength bolts and anchor rods, load testing of assemblies, etc.
