  • Traveler must have Registration as a Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT)
  • BLS must be certified through the American Heart Association ONLY
  • Job Details
  • Traveler must meet all minimum requirements below to be considered.
  • We are seeking a Sleep Technologist to: Collect, analyze, and integrate patient information to identify and meet patient-specific needs.
  • Electrically interface data outputs of capnographs, oximeters, and respiratory inductive plethysmographs to inputs of electrophysiologic amplifiers and computer-based recorders.
  • Determine final testing parameters/procedures in conjunction with the ordering physician or clinical director and laboratory protocols.
  • Job Requirements
  • Traveler must have permanent address outside 50-mile radius of Madison (address must be included in traveler's profile).
  • Traveler must have experience in a clinical setting.
  • Traveler must have one year experience working in a sleep lab.
  • Successfully completed traveler assignment (13 weeks).
  • Schedule Information
  • Only submit traveler who can work schedule in posting and interested in the unit.
  • Unit Specific Information
  • Travelers are the first to float to floors working with children up to 1 year of age and/or based on the traveler's competency skills/experience.
  • The Traveler may have shifts scheduled in multiple units, depending on the current staffing needs and/or different locations within the organization.
  • During the traveler's assignment, if the primary unit no longer has a need, shifts will be re-assigned to another unit in order to complete the contract.
  • Additional Details
  • UW Health is moving away from using outdated file formats for Microsoft (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
  • Profiles will need to be submitted in .docx, .xlsx, and .pptx file types.
