Position Summary: The Sr. Data Analyst position is for inherently curious people who love data analysis, are undeterred by ambiguity, and are passionate about improving processes in a quickly growing analytics team. In this role, you will predominately use a tech stack of Tableau, SQL, Visual Studio Code, Snowflake, and Excel to answer questions from data sourced from our ERP, CRM, and various internal and external data sources. Experience in marketing analytics is highly valued. This role is highly visual to the executives of the organization and has an immediate ability to make an impact and bring value to the entire business.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Use data analysis tools such as Tableau and SQL to efficiently query and analyze data from various data sources.
  • Independently develop an end-to-end analysis plan and execute for ad-hoc and strategic business problems.
  • Translate data into actionable insights and present findings to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Work in teams with individuals from the analytics organization as well as individual business units.
  • Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining interactive dashboards using Tableau.
  • Work collaboratively with the Marketing Analytics team to analyze data, extract insights, and identify trends.
  • Perform data cleansing, transformation, and validation to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
  • Contribute to the development of data models and business logic for dashboards.
  • Collaborate with team members to translate business requirements into actionable visualizations.
  • Ensure the quality and consistency of data visualizations and reports.
  • Provide support to business users in interpreting and utilizing dashboards effectively.
  • Document data sources, methodologies, and assumptions for analysis and dashboard development.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging trends, and new tools in business intelligence and data analysis.
  • Participate in ongoing training and skill development opportunities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor. 

Experience and Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • 3+ years of data analytics experience post-graduate work.
  • Strong research, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills required i.e., taking concepts and ideas, and translating them into solutions.
  • Experience in formulating data strategies, developing roadmaps, and executing analytical initiatives aligned with organizational goals.
  • Proficient in understanding data structure and how joins change the grain of a dataset.
  • Highly proficient in data analysis tools such as SQL and Tableau to efficiently query and analyze data from various sources.
  • Demonstrated experience in applying advanced analytics techniques, including regression, A/B Testing, and forecasting to solve business problems in the consumer/tech space.
  • Working knowledge of modeling for customer acquisition cost, customer lifetime value, and customer retention measurements.
  • Ability to independently develop an end-to-end analysis plan and execute for ad-hoc and strategic business problems.
  • Experience in git or other version control.
  • Strong knowledge of data management concepts, data modeling, and database technologies.
  • Demonstrated affinity for data documentation and governance.
  • Ability to juggle various work activities and shift their attention from one task to another to meet the demands of different stakeholders without “dropping the ball.”
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy, team-oriented environment and have a “roll up your sleeves” and “win every day” mentality.

  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and/or Access).
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).

 Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, or Certifications:

  • Master's degree in Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, or a similar field. 
  • Experience with Snowflake, Salesforce, and/or NetSuite.
  • Ability to use AI to optimize job performance.
  • Professional experience in machine learning is a plus.
  • Experience in media mix modeling is a plus.

  • Additional hours may be required (exempt positions). 

Physical Requirements:

  • Normal office environment.
  • Performs indoor work in a climate-controlled environment.
  • Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
