Labels, processes and delivers specimens for testing.Drag Edit DeleteCollects ordered specimens from patients using age-appropriate techniques.Drag Edit DeleteMaintains scheduled and non-scheduled equipment maintenance and medical supplies.Drag Edit DeleteUtilize computer system for data entry and monitoring workflowDrag Edit DeleteAccurately registers patients using appropriate method and registration procedures.Drag Edit DeletePerforms routine department functions, such as answering the phone in an appropriate and timely manner, taking/delivering messages and transferring calls as needed, faxing and copying.Drag Edit DeleteStocks laboratory suppliesDrag Edit DeleteMaintains a clean and organized work environment
Minimum Education
High school diploma or equivalent - RequiredDrag Edit DeleteMinimum Education
Graduate of a Program in Discipline - Preferred
Formal Phlebotomy program with a minimum of 40 hours of clinical experience/certification - PreferredDrag Edit DeleteRequired Skills
Certification:
BLS certification from approved American Heart Association training center must be obtained within 90 days of employment.Drag Edit DeleteRequired Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.Drag Edit DeleteMinimum Work Experience
Six months phlebotomy experience - Preferred
