Job Description

Hey there Are you a cannabis enthusiast who loves helping people? We are looking for a knowledgeable and people-focused Keyholder/Agent in Charge to help lead our friendly team. 

We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Keyholder/Agent in Charge to oversee the operations of a new cannabis dispensary in Illinois.  

The Keyholder/Agent in Charge, reports directly to the General Manager and is responsible for assisting in managing all daily operations of the dispensary, leading and managing staff, providing exceptional customer service, and achieving Company standards of professionalism.

Additionally, the Keyholder/Agent in Charge implements and maintains the policies and procedures of the Company and ensures compliance with all state and local laws and regulations

Position Responsibilities:

  • Stay up-to-date with Illinois cannabis regulations and ensure the dispensary operates in full compliance with all state laws
  • Responsible for either opening or closing of dispensary
  • Balancing cash and product inventory as part of daily closing procedure
  • Monitor financial performance, analyze key metrics, and implement strategies to improve profitability.
  • Implement strategies to increase customer loyalty and satisfaction.
  • Observing and participating in patient services during consultation and sale
  • Maintaining accountability of all team members, in relation to specific job description
  • Providing General Manager with feedback on inventory levels and sales on a weekly basis
  • Helping educate all team members on product offerings and any changes in state or city regulations
  • Participating in weekly and quarterly management meetings

Required Skills

  •  A minimum of 2 years of experience in the cannabis industry, preferably in a supervisory or managerial role
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Illinois cannabis regulations and experience working in a highly regulated environment
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with staff, customers, and regulatory agencies
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to maintaining high operational standards
  • Proficiency in inventory management, point-of-sale systems, and other dispensary software
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities

Desired Skills

  • Cannabis experience preferred.
  • Experience working in a retail environment with inventory including some sort of regulated product (e.g., alcohol, pharmaceuticals, perishables, etc).
