Overview:

ConGlobal is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic for our location in Kansas City, MO

 

As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you are responsible for assessing and repairing Heavy Duty Lift Equipment at the Railyard.

Competitive Starting Pay: $34.00 – $38.00 hourly, depending on experience.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities

  • Identifies problems with Mechanical, Hydraulic, Diesel, & electrical systems and perform repairs
  • Reads & understands Hydraulic schematics (Pumps, Valves, Motors, Filters, and Hoses
  • Understanding of Diesel Engines, Fuel Systems, & Diagnostics
  • Ability to repair driveline components (Axles, bearings, ring, etc.)
  • Troubleshoots and repairs diesel engines (Cummins)
  • Performs maintenance & mechanical repairs on side loaders (Loaded Container Handler), Hostlers (Semi Tractor), Forklifts, support equipment, etc
  • Maintain routine maintenance schedules on all Heavy Terminal Fleet Equipment

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of Heavy Equipment Mechanic / Service Technician experience required
  • Ability to lift 50lbs
  • Previous crane mechanic experience not required but a plus
  • Hydraulic systems experience required (Pumps, valves, motors, filters, and hoses)
  • Must have a Valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions
  • Able to work in a safety focus environment
