What you will do 

Johnson Controls is seeking a Portfolio Leader for HVAC Mechanical Solutions You will have the opportunity to drive the profitable growth and transformation of the Building Solutions North America (BSNA) mechanical retrofit portfolio Working in partnership with other Portfolio Leaders, Offering Development Managers, Advanced Development, Global Products, functional partners, and the field, you will develop and own a strategy for new offerings aligned to this portfolio and will leverage the Rapid Closed Loop Process (RCLP) to govern the development and commercialization of those offerings. 

 

As the Portfolio Leader, you will use tools to drive assigned products across the entire product lifecycle and will co-own and co-deliver annual revenue, profitability, and other targets and KPIs. What makes this role exciting is you’re an entrepreneur and technical business manager with the goal of long-term customer satisfaction, competitive advantage, market share and profitability across the portfolio of offerings, including 3rd party.  

 

How you will do it  

  • Develop strategies and new lifecycle offerings aligned to Building Performance Standards (BPS) and similar legislation across the US and Canada 

  • Drive profitable YoY growth of the BSNA Service Mechanical portfolio in partnership with the regions, Install, and other functional partners 

  • Lead solution development of additional non-Sustainable Infrastructure (SI) decarbonization and outcome-based offerings 

  • Drive demand to the BSNA Design-Build team through the creation of new offerings that leverage their capabilities 

  • Partner with SI to share best practices and ideation to maximize potential of outcome-based offerings through the field 

  • Own development of PSRs associated with the HVAC Mechanical portfolio 

  • Partner with HVAC lifecycle portfolio leads in EMEALA and APAC to ensure global consistency in offering development where possible 

  • Conduct competitive analysis & heat map development 

  • Represent the portfolio as a RCLP stakeholder, including developing business cases/models and developing workflows 

  • Develop and conduct sales and operations training sessions on key HVAC Mechanical strategies, including BPS; track and report impact of training to leadership 

  • Responsible for KPI’s such as portfolio financials, Global Lifecycle Solutions metrics (including connection targets), and Proactive Service Recommendation metrics

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or business, MS/MBA highly preferred  
    8 years BAS or HVAC experience  
    Extensive knowledge of the use of digital technology to deliver services
