About the Job

This role is the first point of contact for patients in our medical office. As the liaison between the physician and patient, you'll gather information, create encounter records, and provide exceptional customer service to staff, patients, families, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet patients and visitors warmly
  • Register patients, verify information, and obtain necessary signatures
  • Answer and direct phone calls on a multi-line system
  • Communicate with the answering service and ensure daily reminder calls
  • Collect patient co-payments, deductibles, payments, and assist with account balances and questions
  • Reconcile cash/payment drawer and prepare daily bank deposits
  • Follow through on MD orders by providing work excuses and obtaining medical records
  • Assemble and maintain patient records and charts

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision
  • One (1) year of experience with office functions or customer service preferred
  • Two (2) years of Medical Office experience preferred
