Sunriver Brewing Company is a family-owned business founded in Central Oregon in 2012.  Almost 300 team members represent four pubs and a brewery located in Central Oregon with an additional pub in Eugene. We are dedicated to awesome craft beer, delicious food, and engaging service.  We're looking for a Pub Chef to join our team and operations at our Oakway Pub in Eugene.


Pub Chef - Position Summary:

The Pub Chef position delivers strong staffing, operating, and financial results through effective training and development of the kitchen team.


Salary Range: $55K-65K/year DOE


 


Pub Chef - Major Areas of Responsibility:



  • Kitchen team is fully staffed in all seasons through effective recruiting practices.
  • Training programs are in place and utilized for all new hires.
  • Employee performance coaching is effective, timely, and professional.
  • Food quality, presentation, and consistency contribute to high levels of guest satisfaction.
  • All kitchen operating tools are in place, trained, and utilized by all kitchen staff.
  • The kitchen is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
  • All kitchen practices follow health and safety standards.
  • Cost goals are well managed for kitchen labor, food cost, and kitchen expenses within budget.
  • Supports and contributes to a work environment based on respect, professionalism, and cooperation.
  • Team is inspired and motivated to own their roles and grow within the company.

Pub Chef - Job Requirements & Skills:

  • 3 years of kitchen leadership experience
  • 5 years of line cooking experience
  • Ability to work 45-50 hours a week
  • Available mornings, evenings, weekends
  • Reliable transportation
  • Exposure to managing inventory, cost of goods and overall control of financials.
  • Experience working in a hands-on, fast paced, high volume environment.
  • Experience mentoring and training hourly team members.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for periods of eight to ten hours in length each shift
  • Must be able to reach, bend, balance and transport various objects weighing up to 30 lbs. repeatedly during a shift. At times it might be necessary to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to operate kitchen equipment including a mixer, slicer, and immersion blender as well as have the ability to use knives appropriately and maintain their integrity.
  • Must be able to work around various levels of temperature, including warm to very warm temperatures in the kitchen.
