Job Description

Ecolab is currently seeking a Principal Business Process Analyst/Product Owner for our Specialty Division, supporting Food Retail and Quick Service Restaurant customers from our Greensboro NC office.

This position plays a crucial role in the development of digital products, ensuring alignment with clients’ needs and preferences and will be the main technology contact and portfolio manager for digital products.  This includes leading technical business analysis efforts to develop and clarify business requirements, develop plans/schedules/deliverables to meet overall release timelines.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Work as a liaison between business units, customers, and Commercial Digital Solutions (CDS technology team) to deliver digital tools focused on customer satisfaction and efficiency.  
  • Define the overall vision and product roadmap for the EMS mobile application and legacy platforms in the QSR/FRS businesses ensuring alignment across divisions and customers.
  • Understand emerging technology trends to continue to build a robust platform strategy
  • Understand audit trends, competition and customer segmentation to help facilitate digital pricing
  • Be a Self-Leader who demonstrates the ability to serve as a strong team member with solid communication skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, growth environment.
  • Regular stakeholder communications ensuring alignment of expectations and scope.
  • Manage a team of business analysts responsible for defining and documenting customer requirements and solutions, with ownership from inception to delivery and support.  
  • Maintain expert product knowledge using an analytical approach to identifying opportunities for enhancements. Anticipate customer needs
  • Drive customer feedback to understand the customer’s challenges and working with multiple teams to define and deliver outcomes.
  • Manage the product backlog including fact-based prioritization of development work.
  • Actively participate in Scrum meetings and product sprints.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of working experience or 12 years working experience.
  • Team management experience, including goal setting, work planning and employee reviews.
  • Product Owner experience
  • Excellent communication, analytical, facilitation, negotiation and organizational skills required.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and demonstrated ability to work well with people from different disciplines with varying degrees of technical expertise.
  • Proven and consistent delivery of high-level years’ experience in a technical, analytical and problem solving role

Preferred Qualifications

  • 8 years’ experience project management and/or business analysis/requirements gathering experience.
  • 6 years’ experience researching new technical solutions.
  • 6 years’ experience writing clear and concise requirements and business communications.
  • 6 years’ experience developing use cases/user stories in an Agile environment.
  • 6 years in process mapping and workflow optimization
  • Ability to write simple SQL queries for data validation or investigation preferred.
