The ideal candidate for this position will have the following:


  • \t
  • A minimum of a Bachelors degree in Dietetics, Food and Nutrition, Clinical Nutrition, Public Health or related field. 
    \t
  • Minimum of one year of experience as RD; preferable in the long-term care industry.
    \t
  • Ability to travel weekly in the greater Killeen, TX market.

Position Overview:


  • \t
  • Review Monthly weights and chart on variances.
    \t
  • Chart on any abnormal labs.
    \t
  • Chart on monthly Pressure Ulcers, Tube Feedings, Dialysis
    \t
  • Conduct monthly in-service with dietary staff, complete agenda, and sign-in sheet.
    \t
  • Obtain resident council minutes and address any concerns.
    \t
  • Conduct monthly inspection and report findings to QAPI.
    \t
  • Attend monthly QAPI meeting.
    \t
  • Review emergency food supplies- rotate and replace items routinely.
    \t
  • Ensure diet orders match current physician orders for all PO diets.
    \t
  • Complete quarterly notes based on care plan schedule.
    \t
  • Must have the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, procedures, of the Food Services Department 
    \t
  • Must be able to read and interpret food service cost reports, financial data.
    \t
  • Assist in menu planning.
