Job Description

Prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals as well as other medications to patients and performs the diagnostic study per physician orders.  

Reports to: Director Diagnostic Services and Imaging Supervisor

Administers radiopharmaceuticals and medications for patient imaging and therapeutic procedures.Drag Edit DeleteProcesses data and enhances digital images using advanced computer technology.Drag Edit DeleteProvides images, data analysis and patient information for diagnostic interpretation or therapeutic procedures.Drag Edit DeleteEvaluates images to determine the technical quality and calibration of instrumentation.Drag Edit DeleteProcesses the images for radiologist review.Drag Edit DeleteFollows radiation safety proceduresDrag Edit DeleteCommunicates patient information relative to procedure purpose, description and duration prior to beginning examination. Follows up on patient’s questions in a timely manner,
Minimum Education
Certificate, Associates or Bachelor's degree in health related field required by certifying body.Drag Edit DeleteRequired Skills

Certifications:

Licenses:
Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (NM) or certified with the American Society of Clinical Pathologists or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
