Job Description

Altus Engineering, partnering with Davis Defense Group (DDG), is looking for a Junior-level Engineer to support the US Marine Corps Program Manager Light Tactical Vehicle (PM LTV). The junior engineer will serve in a technical capacity applying their background with electrical components and circuit diagrams to support of evaluating the next generation of ground vehicles for the Marine Corps. They will provide hands-on and design support for component integration, analysis, and data collection and reporting. Responsibilities will include:

  • Analyzing technical drawings, interpreting specifications and determining the electrical and mounting requirements of a given system design
  • Liaising with other engineers and clients to deliver technical and engineering products
  • Managing and monitoring all assigned mechanical or electrical projects.
  • Hands on support for assembly and mounting of mechanical or electrical components/systems
  • Completing quality assurance on all mechanical or electrical components and projects
  • Preparing reports and documentation related to testing efforts
  • Using CAD software to draft designs.
  • Analyzing and approving engineering plans.
  • Diagnosing problems and troubleshooting equipment including instrumentation.
  • Performance of other related duties for the Program Management Office, test engineering, and range operations personnel as assigned

Requirements include:
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • BS degree in Engineering or AS with equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of engineering experience
  • SECRET level security Clearance
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related software
  • Familiarity with reading and editing design drawings using CAD software
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a team

Additional background desired but not required includes:
  • Experience with mechanical or electrical design engineering associated with military or vehicle systems
  • Knowledge and experience with systems engineering disciplines for electrical engineering
  • Experience with United States Marine Corps systems and equipment
