Job Description

Department Operations:

  • Plan, monitor and evaluate activities, assignments and equipment consistent with established procedures and good patient care/customer service; including establishing department scope of service.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings a minimum of six times a year. Interview and select qualified candidates consistent with HR policies and procedures and Trios Health values. Monitor and coach employees for maximum performance utilizing appropriate corrective action plans as necessary to improve performance/behavior deficiencies.
  • Develop and monitor goal results.
  • Develop and submit reports and forms on time (e.g. orientation checklists, performance evaluations, financial reports, etc).

 Fiscal Management:

  • Prepare and submit budget, financial and capital expenditures within established guidelines.
  • Monitor department-specific reports/results (e.g. responsibility, productivity, labor distribution) and manage budget successfully.

Interpersonal Relations:

  • Utilize and encourage a variety of communication means, both written and verbal, to facilitate positive interaction and information sharing. Promote and support an environment for high morale, teamwork and cooperative spirit.
  • Follow established complaint resolution procedures (e.g. Grievance/Dispute Resolution, Patient Relations).
  • Actively participate and contribute on various committees, teams and task forces.

Performance Improvement:

  • Establish and monitor quality standards and controls. Follow Plan-Do-Check-Act process for performance improvement, which includes identification of barriers and contingency plans.
  • Assess patient/customer needs in relation to the mission, vision, values and strategic plan. Plan and set goals, soliciting staff input to facilitate buy-in and understanding.

Compliance:

  • Develop, review, update, and enforce policies and procedures to reflect compliance with Medicare (HCFA), Medicaid, JCAHO, and other Federal and State requirements. Review and follow-up on incident reports.

Civic Activities:

  • Represent Trios Health at civic and community organizations and events and represents Trios Health at all Trios Health sponsored events.

 

  • Analyzes, organizes and manages clinical and non-clinical operations of assigned areas.
  • Full authority/oversight over daily operations and responsible for managing and overseeing the delivery of exceptional and compassionate care to all patients.
  • Plans practice activities and schedules staff assignment to meet the needs of the practice and patient care requirements.
  • Plans manpower and equipment requirements to meet the needs of the practice.
  • Manages the selection, training, coaching, mentoring, development and evaluation of assigned staff. Assures that staff are competent in their job performance.
  • Support/influence strategic initiatives and manage programs in identified service lines.
  • Coordinates and ensures ease of patient flow.
  • Ensures that legal and regulatory standards, as well as clinic and department policies and procedures are implemented and monitored.
  • Ensures accurate and complete documentation records are kept by all practitioners.
  • Compiles and submits reports on department activities as requested.
  • Prepares practice budget recommendations and monitor and control practice operations within approved budget.
  • Reviews capital needs for the practice. Submits recommendations in designated time frame.
  • Contribute to and promote positive relationship between physicians, staff, patients, guests and local community.
  • Address customer concerns, complaints and compliments. Follow up on patient complaints in a timely manner.
  • Understands charge submission process to accurately work with physicians and coders.
  • Oversees cash payments and assures payments are applied correctly.
  • Maintains operational budget is maintained with +/- 5%. Prepares necessary variance report within establish time frames.
  • Ensures HIPPA is followed and respects the confidentiality of patient information.
  • Works collaboratively with all TMG Managers to reach organizational goals.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

  • Demonstrates support and adherence to the Mission and Values as set forth by Trios Health.
  • Responsible for becoming knowledgeable and compliant with Hospital, Department, Fire/Safety/Disaster, Educational Requirements and Personnel Policies.
  • Adheres to the Corporate Compliance Program.
  • Responsible for maintaining and protecting the confidentiality of all information received.
  • Performs department specific competencies satisfactorily.
  • All Other duties as assigned.

 

Salary Range: $30.22 - $42.94
