Job DescriptionDescription

As the MRI Technologist you will perform basic and complex MR imaging
procedures as well as post-processing responsibilities. This will require an
in-depth understanding of human cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology,
pharmacology and medical terminology. You will be required to maintain a high
degree of accuracy in patient positioning and image acquisition/formation. You
will also need to apply your knowledge of magnetic field safety and properly
screen all patients and visitors prior to admittance into the MR magnet room.
You will:

  • ·        
    Ensure accurate processing of
    radiology orders
  • ·        
    Maintain accurate up-to-date records
    of procedures performed
  • ·        
    Operate a variety of
    post-processing/3D workstations
  • ·        
    Perform accurate image archival
  • ·        
    Prepare and administer paramagnetic
    contrast media
  • ·        
    Sensitively handle physical and
    emotional needs of the patient

Salary Range: $48.28 - $63.65 Hourly

Qualifications

  • ·        
    Licenses
    • o  
      ARRT,
      CRT – required.  MR certificate required
    • o  
      ARRT, ARMRIT (MR) – required
  • ·        
    Venipuncture
    certificate – required
  • ·        
    BCLS
    from American Heart Association or American Red Cross – required
  • ·        
    Graduate
    from a AMA Radiologic Technologist Program – required
  • ·        
    AA
    or BS – preferred
  • ·        
    Siemens experience – preferred
  • ·        
    Ability to adapt to advancements and
    changing technologies
  • ·        
    Ability to identify contraindications
    for exams
  • ·        
    Excellent communication, interpersonal
    and independent decision-making skills
  • ·        
    Familiarity with clinical billing (IDX
    codes)
  • ·        
    Knowledge of human anatomy and
    pathology
  • ·        
    Strong attention to detail and
    multi-tasking abilities
