As an eCommerce Team Leader at Wegmans, you will lead a team who provides incredible knowledge-based service, makes meals and party planning easy, and accurately and efficiently fulfills eCommerce orders containing a variety of our great-tasting products. Partnering with various departments around the store, you will ensure efficient eCommerce operations and seamless and positive pickup and delivery experiences for our customers.

What will I do?

  • Manage and develop a team of employees, engage in meaningful conversations, build trusted relationships and provide the resources, feedback, and development opportunities they need to be successful

  • Ensure team members are providing incredible knowledge-based service by engaging with customers, helping locate items, offering unique suggestions, efficiently and accurately fulfilling orders, and carefully handling orders reduce damaged goods

  • Manage department operations, including ordering, scheduling, payroll, and forecasting, ensure the department runs efficiently, and maintain consistent two-way communication with team members and store management

  • Proactively identify and execute process improvements, address escalated concerns and questions, set, share and meet goals with the team and create excitement about new programs and products to drive sales

  • Ensure the team properly uses equipment, handles products, keeps accurate logs, follows department job aids, food safety and human safety guidelines, and complies with Wegmans policies and federal and state laws

Required Qualifications

  • 1 or more years of collective customer service experience, preferably in a food service, grocery or retail setting

  • Experience coordinating the daily work of others

  • Managerial/supervisory experience living our values and achieving results in our 5 measures

  • Familiarity and comfortability with technology (web, mobile, etc.)

  • Systems aptitude

  • Passion for food and people with enthusiasm to learn more about the product

Preferred Qualifications

  • Enthusiasm for and knowledge of relevant products and services

  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new situations and subject matters
