Position Summary:

• Assists in assuring optimal patient care by delivering basic patient care and performing scrub duties under direct supervision of RN or LPN.
• Performs clinical skills according to policy and procedure.
• Assumes direct patient care responsibilities as assigned.
• Assists in the maintenance of a clean, safe, and orderly environment.
• Keeps shelves stocked with supplies from Materials Management.
• Demonstrates professional and personal development.
• Delivers direct patient care appropriate to the age of patient served including the neonate/infant, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric.

Reports to: Executive Director of Women's and Children's Services

Minimum EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent RequiredGraduate from an accredited LPN program or Surgical Technologist program preferred.Experience as a Surgical Technologist can be used in lieu of degree requirement.Required SkillsRequires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.Certifications:Basic Life Support (BLS) - to be obtained within 30 daysMinimum Work ExperienceExperience as an LPN or Surgical Technologist preferred.
