Our client, a medical technology company, is seeking an Associate Buyer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills as well as the ability to work across a variety of departments which will successfully align in the organization.

 

Job Title: Associate Buyer

Location: Durham, NC

Pay Range: $28/hour

 

What’s the Job?

  • Assist with expediting and validating incoming POs
  • Resolve purchasing problems between department and supplier
  • Confer with vendors, receiving, warehouse, and carrier personnel to expedite and trace missing/delayed shipments
  • Manage follow up resolution with external departments and/or supplier to correct Accounts Payable invoice issues
  • Develop and maintain accurate point of contact data for all suppliers

 

What’s Needed?

  • HS Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 2-3 years of purchasing experience required, preferably in a manufacturing setting
  • Previous experience utilizing MRP, supply chain management software and tools (Great Plains) 
  • Proven analysis and presentation skills including use of common tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Proficient Excel skills, including the use of pivot tables and advanced functions/concepts

  • Monday-Friday work schedule 8am-5pm (with some flexibility) 
  • Hybrid work schedule, 2-3 days in office/week
