  • A California hospital is looking for an experienced CT Tech for a travel contract.
  • The right candidate will have 2 years of experience, hold an active BLS, ARRT (CT) and a CA Rad Tech License.

  • 12Hr shifts
  • Self-scheduling: Not mentioned
  • Block scheduling: Not mentioned

  • Holiday Requirements: Yes - 1 major & 1 minor holiday
  • Call or Standby requirement: No stand by required
  • Unit Specific Information
  • Unit Specifics: Scheduling 5x8s, for sure Friday & Saturday with 3 varied days, first to float
  • Additional Details
  • Common types of imaging/studies performed & Job Duties: Brain, ABD, pelvis, spine, biopsies, drainage, extemities, angio, cryoablation
  • Average # of scans/studies per day: 85-100
  • EMR &/or PACS (Picture Archive & Communication System: software & hardware) do they use: Radnet & Merge PACS
  • Department Specific Equipment: Canon 16 slice & Canon 80 Slice
  • Radiology Supervisor or Lead Tech: Lead
  • Do they use RRA's (Registered Radiology Assistants)?: No
  • Radiologist in-house?: Yes on days and on call after normal hours
  • Do they have to start IV's?: No IR nurse will start IVs if needed or floor and ED nurses for their patients having a CT procedure
  • Scrub Color/Dress Code: Teal
  • Department specific orientation: Done by the lead Technologist or one of the senior Techs
