- Patient Diagnoses: Assisting in caring for patients held in our ED who are inpatient
- Special Procedures/Unit Details: Contract staff may be required to care for patients with COVID. Expected to work a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team during catastrophic events
- Medication, Documentation, Communication Systems: PYXIS, EPIC, SBAR
- Unit Orientation: 24hrs (2 shifts)
- Scrub color: Navy
- Job Requirements
- Minimum Years of Experience: 1 year
- Skills: 1 year Med/surg
- Certs: BLS
- Schedule Information
- Scheduling type: Based on scheduling gaps
- Shift: 12hr NIGHTS 36 ONLY -- will accept 13-26 week contracts
- Maximum RTO (Requested Time Off): 7 days
- Float Requirement: Yes, to three different campuses as needed and notified 2hrs before the start of the shift
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- **Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty, or disaster
- Unit Specific Information
- Patient ratios and shift details may change during times of increased census or organizational needs
- Detail-oriented tasks such as medication administration and patient documentation via EPIC system
- Communication protocol: SBAR
- Attire: Navy scrubs
