Driveline Technician – Full-Time, Non-Exempt


As a Driveline Technician, you will be responsible for rebuilding drivelines in a shop environment.

Key Driveline Technician Responsibilities Include:



  • Assemble and disassemble drivelines
  • Wash parts, inspect parts, and discard all damaged parts
  • Take micrometer measurement of flywheels; set grinder and regrind flywheel to specifications
  • Prepare list of required replacement parts on work order
  • Pull new parts from inventory and complete the appropriate paperwork
  • Paint and label parts
  • Reassemble, time and balance driveline, if required
  • Tag units as required
  • Place units in inventory or for customer pick up as required
  • Submit work order for invoicing
  • Clean work area as required and maintain equipment; Adhering to all environmental, health and safety standards

 Successful Driveline Technician Candidates Will Have:



  • Associate's Degree or Technical certificate in heavy-duty, diesel mechanics
  • One year of driveline mechanic experience working in the heavy-duty industry
  • Mechanical Aptitude: A solid understanding of mechanical systems, especially those related to diesel engines and drivelines
  • Physical Capability: Ability to safely lift heavy truck parts and equipment and stand for long periods
  • Safety Knowledge: Understanding of safety protocols and ability to maintain a safe work environment
  • Teamwork Mindset: History of working collaboratively as part of a team
  • Attention to Detail: Demonstrated ability to follow instructions with accuracy and efficiency
  • A basic set of hand tools and/or the willingness to purchase tools required for the job as you advance in your skill level and responsibilities (TruckPro offers a tool purchase or reimbursement program)
