Job Description

The Laundry Attendant at the Hampton Inn Dunn maintains a constant supply of clean linens for the hotel.


 


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


 



  2. Performs all stages of linen processing, including collecting, transporting, sorting, weighing, loading, and unloading of washers, dryers, and laundry chutes, folding, storing and delivering.
  3. Wash and dry all dirty linens, towels, rags, etc., as directed by management.
  4. Remove and sort dirty linens and towels from laundry carts.
  5. Fold linens/towels and stock linen carts, as required.
  6. Understand operation of washing machines and dryers.
  7. Clean dryer filter daily and maintain all equipment as trained.
  8. Always practice safe work habits to ensure safety for guests and fellow employees.
  9. Sweep and mop laundry floors storing all linens off the floor.
  10. Keep laundry carts clean and free of debris.
  11. Be familiar with all Company policies and Brand Standards.
  12. Stocks all linen closets throughout the hotel, as applicable.
  13. Perform other duties as assigned.

 


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


 



  2. Must have a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  3. Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.
  4. Must have the ability to communicate effectively and clearly.
  5. Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
  6. Must be able to constantly push/pull laundry carts (empty and full), with potential weight between 50-400 pounds.
  7. Must be able to occasionally pull linens from washer to dryer, with potential weight between 25-150lbs
  8. Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly. 
  9. Must have a desire to serve all guests.
  10. Must be 18 years of age or older to perform this job.
