Quad is seeking a Clamp Truck Operator for our Hartford, WI plant. The Clamp Truck Operator transports the roll paper within the plant ensuring presses have thenecessary amount of paper, unloads and inspects incoming paper, and loads outgoing paper. The wage range for this position starts at $20.00 / hour.

Shift Information

  • 12-hour rotating (7 a.m. - 7 p.m. or 7 p.m. - 7 a.m.) - 36 hours one week and 48 hours the next week with the option to stay on permanent nights which includes a $3.00 night shift premium.
  • The first 2-3 weeks of training would be on the shift.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Some responsibilities of the position are as follows:

  • Completes the daily maintenance checklist at shift start.
  • Moves roll paper to presses, ensuring correct type and size of paper per schedule.
  • Removes from presses and places back in inventory unused roll paper upon completion of jobs.
  • Unloads trucks and rail cars of roll paper, entering accurately into inventory and placing in appropriate bays for storage.
  • Checks and ensures bar code labels are correct for paper received.
  • Any roll paper received that is defective is properly reported and stored separately as necessary.
  • Loads trucks and rail cars with roll paper being transferred to other facilities.
  • Completes all required paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Works closely with the press room crews to ensure their paper needs are being met.
  • Adheres to all safety policies, procedures, and requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Forklift, Clamp Truck, Roll Truck experience is strongly preferred.
  • The successful candidate must be dependable, responsible andable to work independently with minimal supervision, and be a team player in a fast paced, detail-oriented production environment. This position requires good math, verbal and written skills as well as the ability to multi-task and prioritize job needs. Being bilingual (Spanish/English) also a plus
  • Intermediate Computer skills required.
  • The position requires the ability to lift 10-20 pounds continuously, the ability to lift up to 50pounds occasionally, stand for long hours, use hands and wrists continuously in controlled movement, receive and follow instructions and use vision in order to identify defects. The ability to work 12 hour rotating shifts (either 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. or 7 p.m. - 7 a.m.) including days, nights, weekends, and holidays working 3 - 4 days a week. Must be able to work overtime as needed.
