As an Elite Pro Infrastructure Lead Technician and Supervisor:

My duties and responsibilities in this position are:

  • Primary Lead for on-site installation of cables, mounting hardware, and technology systems.
  • Responsible for the delivery, quality control, presentation and customer opinion of the completed project.
  • Responsible to divide projects into tasks and prioritize effectively working alone on small jobs or with small team to manage and complete tasks.

I will achieve the following results in this position:

  • I will get the job done and all my projects will be completed on-time and on budget within 5%.
  • I will complete more than one project/job ticket closed and document in ticket system per week.
  • I will have one or less service on-site call back per week for work I have previously done.
  • I will escalate two or less problems I am capable of solving to my supervisor per week.
  • I will ensure all my jobs are delayed less than combined 3 days per month due to no standard materials or supplies on hand.
  • I will be responsible for the team of installers working with me and the outcome of the team is my own.

I will meet these standards while working in this position:

  • I will daily complete my timesheet in the app before leaving.
  • I will daily inform the customer of my arrival time and any expected timeline delays via email, text or phone.
  • I will daily update management with materials needed list by email needed to maintain proper supplies on hand.
  • I will avoid unnecessary drive time and material runs.
  • I will complete the job efficiently and minimize additional days and extra travel time.

I will follow the procedures in the company manual including:

  • I will adhere to the company ZERO tolerance Drugs and Alcohol policy.
  • I will comply with drug and background screens.
  • I will enforce a safe and healthy working environment with zero accidents.
  • I will report and enforce zero tolerance of theft of materials, tools and property.
  • I will take pride in a clean and organized workspace.

As an Elite Pro, I am capable, skilled and able to achieve success in my position in the following areas.

  • I possess a current BICSI INST2 (Optical Fiber and/or Copper) or ICT2 (Level 2) or InfoComm CTS-I (Install Level 2) certification, or these which expired and will be reinstated within 30 days. Tier 1 certifications are insufficient for the lead position. An active Tier 2 certification is REQUIRED for duration of employment to maintain a supervisor/QC role. I will submit proof of this certification to my employer.
    • I know the correct applications for and can properly install cable suspension, ladder racks and baskets, equipment racks.
    • I can safely and efficiently operate power tools and machines including man and material lifts.
    • I can certify cables and create sweep report from tools.
    • I know offhand cable distance requirements for different categories of cable, weight and size capacities of mounting systems, proper installation techniques.
    • I can efficiently troubleshoot cable installations, regardless of if I installed them, without tier escalation.
    • I have mastered the craft of cable installation and termination for ethernet. Less than .5% fail certification and testing.
    • I will work safely and conform to the highest standards in a construction field.
    • I know the appropriate attire for working in different construction environments from heavy construction to finish out.
    • I can read and understand blueprints.
    • I can represent the company to the customer, talk intelligently to other trades, GC, and supers about technology systems.
    • I can terminate Fiber Optics in some method
    • I can terminate BNC broadcast coax cables.
  • I can work efficiently and safely at elevation, including rooftops, catwalks, lifts, warehouses.
  • I can operate a computer competently to program and setup equipment to engineering specifications.
  • I understand this is a construction position for active people. Reasonable accommodations will be made, but I am able to climb ladders, be on my feet for hours at a time, work with hand and power tools, drive equipment, distinguish color coded cables, and move a reasonable amount of boxes and materials.
