Position Highlights:

Job Summary
\t- Performs selected medical assistant and clerical duties that assist in care for clinic patients following established standards, practices, and competency.
\t - Works collaboratively with other clinic staff to solve practice-related problems.
\t - Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and possesses the ability to respond to specific issues and data reflective of the patient/customer's status.
\t - Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for the population served in the department.
\t - Sterilizes medical equipment according to policy.
\t - Follows correct procedures for handling and disposing of bio-hazardous infectious waste.
\t - Provided back-up help for front desk personnel. This may include answering telephone, scheduling and cancelling appointments, and scheduling consult patients.
Education and/or Experience
\t- Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with an Associate's degree or diploma.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
\t- National Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA); or
\t - National Registration as a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through the American Medical Technologist (AMT); or
\t - National Certification as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) through the National Health Career Association and Medical Assistant diploma
Work Schedule
\t- Varied shifts as needed; PRN
Pay
The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
\t- $19.25 - $27.00 per hour
