A Successful Histology Tech Candidate will possess an Associate of Science degree in laboratory medicine or a related field. Alternatively they will be a graduate of a Technical School or hold an Academic High School Diploma or equivalent with appropriate training experience. They will also need1 to 3 years of clinical laboratory experience, demonstrating your proficiency in histology and related processes. ASCP or equivalent certification is required, or eligibility for certification. Certification must be achieved within 12 months after the hire date.Lastly, this candidate will need to demonstrate expertise in embedding tissue samples, microtomy, routine Histology, and Frozen Sectioning, highlighting your comprehensive knowledge of histology techniques.
