Our new client in New York City is looking for a strong ER travel RN. They need someone to start ASAP for 13 weeks For more details please contact a Medical Solutions Career Consultant at •\tER Adults and Peds patients
•\tFast track - yes
•\t# beds/trauma bays- 14 trauma bays, 60 beds, but this ER always has overflow in hallways
•\t# Psych/seclusion rooms- none
•\t# patients per day- 300 visits per day
•\tCharge Nurse- charge nurse day and night shift
•\tNurse Aides/Paramedics- PCT (EKG’s, draw blood)
•\tSecurity/Patient sitters- PCT would do 1 to 1 sitting
•\tWeekend Requirement- every other but may be asked to fill a need
•\tTele/Monitor Techs- no monitor tech’s nurse need to read EKG strips
•\tVents- yes
•\tED Physicians/Mid-Levels- 8 to 10 attendings available
•\tLab Draws - nurses do most of the lab draws
•\tIV Team- PICC team
•\tRT 24/7\t
•\tPharmacy 24/7\t
•\tShifts-\t8a-8p; 8p-8a; 12a-12p; 12p-12a
•\tFloating\t- adult and peds ER nurses will be expected to work both
•\tFloor specific orientation- 2 shifts on day shift with preceptor and then 1 day on the shift they will be assigned
•\tCommon diagnosis / Types of patients\tAdult and peds patients this is a level 2 trauma ER will see all types of patients
•\tAdditional Notes- this ER is very busy, nurse must have good time management and be on time for work and have good attendance
