We are seeking an organized, highly communicative, and action-oriented Assistant Buyer to support Insight in providing patient care second to none The Assistant Buyer ensures that materials are procured in an efficient and effective manner, by processing purchase orders and MOJO tickets. This person will request quotes for materials that are needed in surgeries, standard materials for the office and building, along with other miscellaneous items. Additionally, the Assistant Buyer will build and maintain relationships with our Vendors in a proactive manner, follow-up on Purchase Orders, and participate in the full-cycle counting of inventory. This role will primarily work out of Flint campus. Ideal candidates are team-oriented, have success communicating interdepartmentally, and are able to provide quality results while working autonomously.

Duties:
- Places and confirms purchase orders in regard to department standards and policies across Insight multiple facilities
- Follow-up on past due purchase orders and establishes action items when necessary
- Maintains inventory ordering for stocking locations
- Participates in cycle counting of inventory
- Ability to communicate on numerous multiple platforms (i.e. messenger/email, phone calls, etc.) in a timely and professional manner
- Establishes and maintains relationships with vendors
- Assists accounting with discrepancies
- Process MOJO Tickets
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrates eligibility to work for any employer in the U.S.
- Previous experience required; 1-3 years of buying experience
- Previous experience within a Hospital/Medical environment preferred, not required
- Willing to travel as needed to other Insight locations; travel reimbursement available
- Ability to multitask and juggle multiple projects when needed
- Willing to help team members out in a proactive manner as needed
- Ability to relate and work effectively with others.
- Demonstrated skills in verbal and written English communications for safe and effective patient care and to meet documentation standards.

Physical Requirements:
- Work is of light demand; sitting or walking most of the time while on duty.
- Visual and auditory acuity and manual dexterity essential to performing designated duties required: optimal auditory acuity required.
- Able to look at a computer screen for long periods of time.
- Manual dexterity involving the handling of equipment and computers is essential to performing assigned duties.
- Physical conditions are clean, neat and well lit.
- May be subjected to stressful situations.
- Climate control and ambient temperature variances may be experienced associated with a normal office environment.
- Hours of duty may be irregular or unexpectedly extended due to the requirements of the administrative office.
