Job Title: Janitor
Location: Ishpeming, MI
Pay: $16.10 per Hour

What’s the Job?
- Creates a sanitary, safe environment and enhances the appearance of the facility through the following duties: scrub, strip and polish floors with floor machines, shampoos carpets, furniture and mats, wash walls, ceilings, floors, windows and furniture, change curtains, draperies and shower curtains, dust and damp mops floors in corridors, baseboards, entrances, collect trash, remove medical waste and linens and transports to designated areas, dust high vents, cabinets, and assist in cleaning of emergency spills observed or upon request.
- Move equipment and furniture for rearrangement of offices, cleaning, etc.
- Keep utility and storage rooms in clean and orderly condition, returns unused or unsoiled supplies to appropriate areas at end of the day. Keep carts neat and orderly at all times.
- Notify management of equipment needing repair.
- Assist with orientation of new employees and staff development activities for the department.
- Follow established policies and procedures, objectives, safety standards, and sensitivity to confidential information.

What’s Needed?
- Full time, temp to permanent for the right person.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Michigan Driver's License.
- Hazmat Training for proper handling and packaging of regulated medical waste.
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
