Sepsis and Stroke Quality Nurse Coordinator

A prestigious hospital in the beautiful, sunny and coastal Southern California is actively looking for a Quality Management Nurse Coordinator to add to its reputable team of professionals.
The Nurse Coordinator of Quality Management will work with a medical center that provides comprehensive healthcare services that effectively meet the needs of the surrounding community through compassionate and responsible care for over 60 years. The Quality Improvement Nurse Coordinator will be part of a team that embraces family atmosphere, positive attitude to excel and to provide the best patient care.
The Nurse Quality Program Coordinator for Stroke and Sepsis will support the Director of Quality in maintaining and revising the Quality and Performance Improvement (QPI) program, projects, and initiatives across the Hospital. The RN Quality Coordinator for Stroke Sepsis will coordinate the activities of departments, committees, and medical staff to develop and document ongoing evaluation activities.
The Nurse Quality Management Coordinator for Stroke and Sepsis will have key responsibilities include conducting studies and problem-focused reviews, interpreting data, developing and implementing action plans, and monitoring and evaluating performance. The RN Quality Improvement Coordinator will also promote the QPI program to medical, nursing, and support services, coordinates stroke and sepsis programs, and performs other duties as assigned.
The Nurse Quality Management Coordinator for Stroke and Sepsis will establish project goals, milestones, and procedures, define roles and responsibilities, acquire project resources, coordinate projects throughout the organization, monitor project progress, and manage multiple projects. The Nurse Quality Improvement Coordinator for Stroke and Sepsis will ensure requirements for primary stroke center certification are met as set forth by DNV Healthcare and Los Angeles County Emergency Medical Services by capturing data, auditing charts, and submitting monthly and quarterly reports.
The RN Quality Management Coordinator will co-lead the Stroke Committee with the Stroke Medical Director. The Nurse Quality Improvement Coordinator will present reports at meetings from data analysis and develop and deliver stroke education in collaboration with the Staff Education Department. Coordinate the Hospital’s sepsis program in alignment with guidelines published by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
