PVESC has a current opening for a full-time veterinary technician assistant (TA) to join our surgery department. Our busy surgery department has five board-certified surgeons specializing in soft tissue, orthopedic, laparoscopic, and neurosurgery. Our surgical technician assistant will help with the flow of our daily appointments, making sure our exam rooms are clean and sanitary, bringing clients into the exam rooms, weighing patients, restraining for exams, helping with minor procedures in the exam room such as bandage changes, and escorting clients to the front desk after the appointments. Previous experience with animal restraint is requested.

We also host continuing education dinner events for veterinarians and veterinary staff from all over Maine, sharing valuable information and eating great food.
