Driveline Technician

Driveline Technician – Full-Time, Non-Exempt – Everett, WA

As a Driveline Technician, you will be responsible for rebuilding transmissions, differential units, clutches, and other drivetrain components.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• 
  
• Disassemble unit components
  
• Wash parts, inspect parts, prep parts and discard all damaged parts
  
• Prepare list of required replacement parts on work orders
  
• Paint and clean parts
  
• Reassemble and assign serial number to unit
  
• Submit work order for invoicing
  
• Clean work area as required and maintain equipment, adhering to all environmental, health and safety standards
  

Successful Candidates Will Have:

• 
  
• Mechanical Aptitude: A solid understanding of mechanical systems, especially those related to diesel engines and drivelines
  
• Relevant Mechanic Experience: Previous work as a mechanic or in a related field
  
• Technical Skills:
  
  • 
    
  • Proficiency in welding, torch usage, and reading tape measures and calipers.
    
  • Ability to perform repairs on transmissions, differentials, drive shafts, and other driveline components is a plus, but not required
    
  
  
  
• Tool Proficiency: Skilled in using a variety of hand and power tools specific to diesel mechanics
  
• Physical Capability: Ability to safely lift heavy parts and equipment and stand for long periods
  
• Safety Knowledge: Understanding of safety protocols and ability to maintain a safe work environment
  
• Teamwork Mindset: History of working collaboratively as part of a team
  
• Attention to Detail: Demonstrated ability to follow instructions with accuracy and efficiency
