**Neuro ICU Unit** Position / Specialty: TTH Gen 8 ICU – ICU/Neuro Start date: Ratios: 1:2 all shifts Years of experience REQ: 2 years First-timers accepted: (Y/N) No Weekend REQ: Yes – every other Certs REQ: ACLS, BCLS, NIH are required. TNCC and TCAR are preferred Is on-call REQ? (Y/N) What is the req? No Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? Yes - ICU or stepdown, Adults ICU's, Adult Acute Care, ED for boarding inpatients. Floating between Toledo, Flower, Bay Park, & Wildwood facilities as needed. Open to accommodating block schedule? (Y/N) No Locals accepted: (Y/N) What is the local radius rule? Not accepted if 50 miles or less Pending License accepted: (Y/N) No RTO Restrictions: Greater than 3 days will require Management approval Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours Special Requirements: -Patient Age group: Adults and Geriatrics - Patient Diagnoses • Neuro ICU • SAH • Aneurysm clippings or coils • SDH • ICH • IVH • Ischemic stroke • Thrombectomy • Craniectomy • Craniotomy • Seizure • Chiari Malformation • AVM • Myasthenia Gravis • Guillain-Barre • Unstable Cervical fractures • CSF leaks - Special Procedures/Unit Details • Neuro ICU • Externalized Ventricular Drains • Lumbar Drains • Level 1 Traumas to head, neck, or back • NIH certified RNs • Stroke Comprehensive Center - Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency Response • Interpretation of dysrhythmias • Management of dysrhythmias - Endocrine/Metabolic • IV insulin protocols - IV Therapy/Phlebotomy • Accessing Ports • Arterial line management • Blood Product Administration • Central line care/management • PICC line management • Starting IVs - Medications • Continuous IV sedation • Procedural Sedation Administration • Titrate Cardiac drips • Titrate Vasoactive drips - Neurological/Psychiatric • CVA/Acute Stroke management • Post Neurosurgery management • Traumatic Brain injury - Respiratory/Thoracic • Care of Ventilated Patient • High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) • Interpretation of ABGs - Professional Topics and Skills • Infection Prevention • Isolation Precautions/ Use of PPE • Phlebotomy • Surgical Wounds with drains/Wound Vac -Work experience • Trauma Level II Experience Hospital Highlights Type of Facility: Level I trauma center and the largest acute care hospital in the Toledo metropolitan area Magnet / Teaching / Level Trauma (if applicable): Level 1 trauma center and teaching hospital Total Staffed Beds: 16 Scrub Color: Navy Charting: EPIC - required Parking Cost: Free
