Job Description

Life Enrichment Assistants are responsible for facilitating the planned activities in for our assisted and independent living residents. This involves everything from leading exercise classes and sing-alongs to brain power activities, sports and art classes and reading. Must be flexible, dependable, work well under pressure and be a self-starter. 

Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating the activity programs of this community
  • Observe resident attendance, mood, behavior, and degree of involvement so that facility activities and resident progress are evaluated
  • Involve the resident/family in planning activity programs when possible
  • Safely transport senior residents to doctors appointments and other places in a timely and disciplined manner.
  • Load and unload wheelchairs and walkers from vehicle. Help residents into car or non-CDL bus and help residents out to their appointments and activities.

Qualifications

  • Must be flexible, dependable, work well under pressure and be a self-starter
  • Able to move at least 50 pounds, including tables and chair on a regular basis
  • Valid drivers license and clean driving report.
  • CPR certified 
  • Ability to plan and communicate in both written and spoken English
