Purpose & Impact:


The Program Director will be responsible for the overall management of the programmatic, administrative, financial, and operational systems related to the provision of care and services; provision of regular and timely reports to key funders regarding operations, services, and finances; establishing a respectful and supportive workplace environment.


Essential Functions:

  • Monitors the daily operation of assigned program
  • Supervises all assigned
  • Assures assigned programs meet or exceed all licensing, quality assurance, and fiscal requirements promulgated by the Department of Children & Families, Department of Health, Council on Accreditation and other such
  • Ensures adequate staffing in assigned program
  • Ensures staff are trained according to COA, DOH, DCF and all applicable rules and
  • Serves as programmatic liaison to Department of Children & Families, Department of Juvenile Justice, schools, social service agencies, and juvenile courts to promote positive, cooperative relationships.

Education:

  • At a minimum, the Program Director will have a Bachelor’s degree in social work or an equivalent degree in education, psychology, sociology, or other relevant behavioral science degree or bachelor’s degree plus 5 years’ experience in child welfare administration, child protective services; and 2 years of experience in program management or as director of a licensed child care program

Experience:

  • 5 years’ experience in child welfare administration, child protective services; and 2 years of experience in program management or as director of a licensed childcare program

Skills:

Must possess demonstrated leadership and administrative abilities, be able to develop and monitor contracts, be able to work effectively with others, be a good team player, present self well in public, be an effective communicator, and function well with a minimum of supervision.
