PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Senior System Engineer with a strong background in VMware and ESXi Server engineering, operations and support

BACKGROUND:

The client has an ongoing need for skilled technology personnel to assist with projects headed by the Board. Information technology services will be required for work that requires a senior system engineer with a strong background in VMware and ESXi Server engineering, operations and support.

REQUIREMENTS:

The candidate shall also demonstrate the below knowledge and experience:
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in supporting enterprise-grade ESXi servers and VMware server software.


Demonstrating expertise in supporting and configuring the following technologies:
  • Experience designing, planning, testing, implementing, supporting and troubleshooting large VMware installations
  • Expert knowledge of ESXi server implementations and operations, VLAN, VMC, primary, secondary data center operations and hybrid cloud implementations
  • Experience with Aria Automation, Aria Orchestrator and Aria Operations
  • Experience with Powershell/Powercli scripting


The Contractor shall deliver, but not limited to, the following:
  • Assist the IT Enterprise Hosting Services team with daily operations and ongoing projects, including troubleshooting VMware and ESXi Server issues, developing new
  • designs, managing maintenance windows, and handling any other tasks as required.
  • Extensive expertise in VMware and ESXi server configuration


ANTICIPATED PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE:

START DATE: October 1, 2024
